Making a difference with every rotation of my pedal...
From June 1-7, 2008, I'm bicycling in my first AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.
I need your help as a contributor! I have made a significant commitment to raise at least $3,000.00 in donations and I ask for your support in helping me reach this mark. I hope you'll join me with your generous financial and emotional encouragement. The money you donate will support the San Francisco AIDS Foundation--their mission is to end the pandemic and the human suffering caused by HIV.
Thousands of individuals in our community receive life-sustaining services as a result of the money raised through AIDS/LifeCycle. Your contribution is fully tax-deductible.

Best feeling ever? Playing drums to a song I love that loves me back...
There are a ton of musicians that technically play every note accurately. No question. They've got it. But for me... there are only a few that when they play, it MEANS something, here, deep in their soul, in their heart. They FEEL it--I FEEL it; I HEAR it... It's not taught; it's not learned; it just is.

FRI, AUG 17th (the day before Rage Against The Machine was to play Rock The Bells here in San Francisco), I received a text from Tom Morello, "U comin to rage?" My reply, "Of course, my dear!" Tom then sends, "Have tix and passes already? What about Maux?" (He loves his Maureen Herman!)
My gosh... How sweet is he?!? I had another moment, "I am fortunate."
The hook up was one of the most incredible hook ups of all time--VIP...
Sarah Bettens co-headlined the 2007 "Michigan Womyn's Music Festival" (Michfest) on FRI, AUG 10th with a new, all-women band (mandated, as this was a women-only festival). It was my first year attending, Sarah's second both as a performer and camper. I did not camp--have never camped a day in my life... I stayed at a close by motel where two of Sarah's bandmates stayed as well.

Now this was a happy surprise to see the BALL4REAL Streetball tour bus out in front of the same hotel Tom Morello, Pete (tour manager) and I were staying at in Detroit, July 10, 2007.
