I wish he didn't cut his hair even though I prefer short hair on men!! LOVED his performance and he is one of my favorite artists! His rendition of "this womans work" was amazing!!! "Georgey Porgey"....love that song too!!!!

@christine - I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVE Maxwell to the point I would give the man my arm if he needed it! He rocked it. I do not care if Maxwell colored his hair orange and walked out 300lbs for his voice is what attracts me to his spirit. I totally vibe with him especially with his collaboration with Sweetback on Softly, Softly. Have you heard that? Women's Work Makes me want to cry. He KILLED and claimed the song as his own. I thank Kate Bush for writing the song but DAMMIT Maxwell made it his! Maxwell oozes soul and sexiness to a core that a music appreciator will adore for a lifetime. I never knew that Maxwell did, "Georgey Porgey" for I will have to look that up because I own EVERYTHING maxwell has put out.

I mean I am such a fanatic for Maxwell's music that I am willing to wait so long for his album to come out which has been delayed and delayed. I do not understand why but I hope his label realizes he is WANTED NOW! @2Serenity...yes, shit, Eric Bonet was the one that sang Georgey Porgey...love that song!!!

Maxwell definietly clamied that song as his own....between you and I...and the rest of fuzz...I have tried to replicate his high pitches in "this womans work" I would play that song over and over again!! Yes...I think I had a few tears too!! I thought it was too short actually....wanted more!!!

Haha...not sure I would give my right arm for Maxwell...I am saving mine for music soulchild...haha!!! Love that Philly sound...The Roots, Jill Scott (LOVVVVVVVVVVE HER!!!) 'he loves me' is on my top 10 list of fav. songs!!! & of course.....Music Soulchild *sigh*

What's the deal with his album being delayed???

@christine! - Ahhh..women's works makes me SHIVER and cry. So beautiful. Do you have the MTV Maxwell Unplugged CD? OOOOHHHHH weee.. ESSENTIAL for your collection! I got love for Music Soulchild but I am a little biased and I gotta have my Maxwell or I go a little looney. Its his falsetto voice. I told him on his myspace page that he needs to sing opera. Not sure what is up with Maxwell's album being delayed but it should be out this year! A definite date has not been set. When the date is given I am so going to THE STORE and paying FULL price for it. At this point I do not care. I am that PRESSED for it! 8)

@2Serenity...you're right though...his falsetto is first class!!!! I could see him doing opera too!! I downloaded his Unplugged CD...I don't buy cd's anymore...which until now I just realized that!! He is quite precious I must say...and I use that word freely too...haha!!!! Have you ever heard of K-os "Man I used to be" or Slum Village?? They are not Maxwell but have a great sound to them. K-os I believe is from the UK. I will be thinking of you when his CD is released ;) SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCHES!!!!

@christine - I am not familiar with K-OS. I definitely will have to check out! I appreciate the introduction. There is NO doubt in my mind Maxwell knows what he is doing with his voice driving all of us females MAD and in HEAT with his voice. He just oozes the soul in his heart in the microphone. To be a fly on the wall when he creates a song would be a dream! Thank you for sharing with me!
