Bio
Located in Bournemouth, London and Paris The Sables are Carly Jones, Val Sommes and Chris Faith. So far they have released three demo EPs - The Pilgrim Man EP in November 2007, The Hidden Index EP in March 2008 and most recently The Neptune River EP in July 2008. The lead track from The Pilgrim Man EP, Baby You Don't Know was voted as single of the week by the popular Radcliffe and Maconie show on the UK's BBC Radio 2 station. The Blue Light, lead track from the Neptune River EP was also nominated as single of the week on the same show.

The Sables' first album South Southern Angel is out on HoneyBe Records on the 27th October.

To call the Sables' music chill-out would be understating its appeal, yet that is essentially the effect their music has on the listener. There is a depth and weight to the sound which pushes you into the sofa until you've sunk so deep you're almost inside. It is also full of beauty and warmth, wrapped up inside Carly's wonderfully serene vocals. With further recordings set to be released prior to their long-awaited live debut, the silver-tongued and irresistible Sables are simply letting their music do the talking. - Tony Foster, www.bhone.co.uk

I'm here from Fuzzpile #5 too. Your music is really unusual and I really love it. As Brad said, every listen is a good time. He's right.
Just goes to show that good music CAN come from the south of England too. (I'm just up the road in Wiltshire.)

Keep it up!

This is a tardy visit to the fuzzpile recommendation. Differentstars sent me over here again. I've had your uploads on continuous play for the last couple of hours and find your songs are a great listen anytime - for a concentrated listen as well as for background. IMHO this is more than "shoe-gaze", but, still, mellow.

I love hearing music that deals with lots of different sounds. "Oh Silver Sea" is genious! It places the listener directly on the landscape. I also love the track "Waiting For The Tide." Very impressive and glad you were on the Fuzzpile #5!
